HAZARA: A Shutterdown and Wheel Jam strike is being observed across Hazara today against the renaming of NWFP province and in demand of a separate province.
On the call of Tehreek-e-Hazra, a complete shutterdown strike is being observed in Hazara division against renaming of NWFP as Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa and in support of establishment of Hazara province.
The strike is being observed in districts of Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Batgram and Kohistan.
All kinds of trade and business activities are also suspended completely. And transport across the division is also halted.
Meanwhile, In Karachi too protesters have staged demonstration against renaming of NWFP and in support of formation of Hazara province. -DawnNews
