MANSEHRA, Aug 18: Federal Minister for Haj and Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammad Yousuf has asked Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf to fulfill its commitment concerning Hazara province and pass a resolution in this regard from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly so that his party could proceed on the case at the centre.
“The PML-N has incorporated creation of Hazara province in its manifesto, but presently we are waiting for the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s resolution in this regard. Once the PTI passes the resolution from the assembly the PML-N will take steps for creation of Hazara province at the federal level,” said Mr Yousuf while speaking to media persons here on Sunday.
He said that the PML-N had also asked its lawmakers to support Hazara resolution in the KP Assembly. He said that PTI chief Imran Khan should fulfill his election commitment concerning the Hazara province. However, Mr Yousuf said that the PML-N would touch upon issues such as Hazara province after resolving the other major challenges facing the country.
In response to a question, Mr Yousuf claimed that he and his government would provide the best services to pilgrims during Haj this year and that time would prove it.
The federal minister said that he had already visited Saudi Arabia and met his counterpart and governor Madina, and discussed with them provision of services to pilgrims during Haj. He said that he also visited the residences where Pakistani pilgrims would stay during Haj and found everything up to the mark.
